Oserian took a tenth minute lead but gave all up a possible three points when the team conceded at the death to end up with a 1-1 draw with Chemelil Sugar in their Tusker Premier League game played on Sunday 16 September 2012.
Weaved
Jack Obayi go the flower men 1-0 early, a lead the side defended well to the break by taking command of the game from midfield.
Ten minutes on, Obwoge weaved his way to the box but with John Waw in Oserian’s goal, he wasted the chance to level.
With three minutes to go to the break, Oserian was as good as 0-2 up but Chemelil’s left back Chris Litswa cleared the ball off the line to deny Aziz Mohammed who had beaten Frederick Onyango.
Off bottom spot
Chemelil Sugar went into panic and quickly through in reinforcements early in the second half by bringing in Daniel Murage Mutahi and Kassim Mohammed for Gershon Likono and veteran Mike Mururi respectively.
Mathias Okoro was thrown into play one minute after the hour mark as Coach Sammy Omolo pulled out Joseph Kariuki.
Improved
Oserian went on to defend their first half lead. At 90 minutes the team was safe, seemingly with all three points in the bag but shockingly in the third minute of added time, Obwoge who had a missed effort in the first half, tapped in a cross from Tonney Opondo to save his side the blushes as the game soon ended at 1-1.
Chemelil Sugar remains eighth on the log but improved to 31 points as Oserian moves off bottom spot 16 to 15 with 20 points. Both have played 24 games.
