EPL side intensifies interest in Mariga

Fulham are reported to be lining up a bid for the combative Inter Milan player ahead of the January transfer window despite being out of action since his return from a loan spell at Spanish side Real Sociedad and his former Italian side Parma FC.

His earlier attempts to move to EPL current champions Manchester City failed owing to Kenya’s low position on the FIFA rankings.

Mariga also missed the last matches of his loan spell at Parma with a major knee injury, which caused him to miss five months of football.

Mariga was expected to return for Harambee Stars against Bafana Bafana in their recent friendly match in Kenya but that did not happen.
