Emmanuel Okwi’s name has been struck off the Simba SC list of players headed to Oman for further mid-season training.
The player is yet to rejoin the team in training after leaving for the December break and efforts by the team’s officials to contact him have been futile as his phone keeps going unanswered.
-We have removed from our Oman plans because we cannot keep on wasting our time waiting for him, the club’s vice Chairman Geoffrey Nyange told Bin Zubeiry.
The team left for the Middle East in two batches, the first jetting off on Thursday 10 January and the second group leaving on Saturday 12.
Okwi renewed his contract by two years, towards the end of 2012 and had his monthly salary increased by 50% to TSh3million (approx.KSh160,000).
