IFK
Mariehamn bounced back to winning ways over the weekend seeing off their
opponents KuPS 2-0 on Sunday 2nd September 2012 at their Wiklöf
Holding Arena.
The win was a shot in the arm for the side that only a week ago was whipped 1-5 by Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi [KJK] in an embarrassing turn of events.
Boosted spirits
Fourth placed Mariehamn also has a morale booster since their Finland’s League title dreams have now been revived by the vital three points they pocketed.
This was however a setback for Kuopion Palloseura [KuPS] who had won their earlier match at home against MYPA a week ago.
Kenyan 24 year old Amos Chona Ekhalie started the match but was substituted with five minutes to go for Swedish Marcus Olofsson.
Bosnia’s Ermin Gadžo netted a hat trick for Mariehamn to secure the all-important points for his side in the match.
