Ambira were given the beating of their lives, 8-1 by Kenyan Premier League side Western Stima in a friendly match last week, Thursday 12 April 2012.
Isaac Odhiambo opened the scoring from the spot before Justine Monda and Nelson Simwa netted a brace each with a goal from George Wesa, Alloice Mangi and Wesley Kemboi wrapping up the huge win.
However, Stima coach Henry Omino said afterwards that the students had produced some good football along the way and their coach Owoko is in thorough agreement.
Played well despite defeat
-We played like real men despite losing the game. I felt that we were on top of things for long periods and did not deserve to lose by the big score.
-Their experience prevailed in the end.
-We have learnt alot and I am sure that despite the big loss, my players have come out better footballers, Owoko told Futaa.com.
Ambira are looking forward to playing a four team tournament pitting the Uganda under 20 team, which will take place at month's end.
