Efe counts on fighting spirit

Celtic and Nigerian international defender Efe Ambrose believes not all is lost as his team prepares to face off with Juventus at the Stadio Delle Alpi later on Wednesday 5 March in the UEFA Champions League.

Celtic go into the match trailing 0 – 3 from the first leg but Ambrose, an AFCON winner with Nigeria believes a win in Italy is possible with the fighting spirit his team has been known for.

Unlucky

Speaking to the club’s official site, Efe insisted they played well at home but were just unlucky.

-Everything is possible in football and nobody knows. So let us go there and see what happens as I believe there is still a chance. We played well at Celtic Park but it didn’t work in our favour that night. Let´s see what happens in Italy.

Last breath

-We never give up. That is our major strength. We never throw in the towel and keep fighting to our last breath, he said.

The defender was particularly error prone in the first leg clash, harbouring the blame for at least two of the Italians’ goals.
