The former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba landed in Shanghai on Saturday
14 July 2012 morning to a mass of Chinese fans who chanted his name and
celebrated his arrival after signing with Shenhua
Drogba saluted fans who were holding his banners, sporting Shenhua scarves and waving Ivory Coast flags during the brief appearance, before being whisked away from the airport.

The former Chelsea man will be officially unveiled to Shenhua supporters at the clash with rivals Beijing Guoan today, however he will not play in the game.
Drogba is expected to debut in Wednesday 18 July’s Chinese FA Cup fixture away to Changchun Yatai.
