Former Sofapaka hard-man Musa Mudde has received a second major blow in the course of the week.
Mudde, who was dropped from his Tanzanian side Simba SC after failing to impress since his move from Kenya, has now been left high and dry by national team the Uganda Cranes.
Having been a regular in the side, his lack of play has forced head coach Bobby Williamson to drop him, as he seeks a strong team for the 2013 AFCON qualifier against Zambia.
In other news, Geoffrey Massa and fellow striker Brian Umony have been ruled out of Cranes’ Africa Nations Cup first leg qualifier against Zambia at Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, September 8 2012.
No impact on squad
The two were excluded from Coach Bobby Williamson’s squad of 23 players due to the injuries.
Both strikers underwent operations and Williamson insists their absence will not impact on his side as long as other players are available for training.
- Their absence will have no impact on my team. Not at all, Williamson told the New Vision.
Hamis Kiiza, Emma Okwi, Robert Ssentongo are the strikers in camp.
