Dockers hyped to stay afloat in first tier

Ali Hassan Tito

Newly promoted Tusker Premier League side Bandari FC has been wished well in the coming season when they will make a return to the first tier.

FKF Mombasa sub branch chairman Ali Hassan Tito believes that a bright performance by the Division One 2012 Champions will be a major shot in the arm to coastal football.

Survival chances

- I wish that Bandari can perform well in the Premier League so that they remain in the top flight. Should they remain, it will encourage other teams such as Admiral to want to do well so that they can join them in the top flight.

Tito believes that Bandari, who were formerly in the league, can stand against other teams that are already in the league and cement their place into the future.

The club has already laid down firm strategies by signing experienced players into their squad. The Dockers have resigned goalkeeper Wilson Obungu from SoNy Sugar and Abdilatif Omar from Sofapaka. They are also on the verge of signings Karuturi midfielder Victor Majid.
