Division One leaders defy FKF

Team

Football Kenya Federation has not sanctioned Bandari’s Tanzanian tour.

Laid down procedures

A letter dated Tuesday 28 August 2012 signed by FKF Secretary General Omondi Aduda and addressed to the Secretary of Bandari Footballl Club read;

-Please be advised that the federation has not received any letter from Tanzanian Football Federation (TFF) authorizing both Yanga and Coastal Union to host your team as per FIFA/CAF regulations governing international friendly matches. In this regard the federation will only permit the team to travel once the laid down procedures are fulfilled

Responsibility of the federation

But a club official of Bandari who spoke on condition of anonymity responded that it is the duty of the federation to communicate with their counterparts (TFF) to facilitate the same.

-We wrote a letter to the federation informing them that Yanga and Coastal have agreed to host us and therefore it was the responsibility of the federation to make a follow up with TFF, said the official.
