The dockers arrived back in the country on Friday evening (31 August 2012) after spending the duration of the week in the neighbouring country.
While in Tanzania, they had planned to play three matches, against Coastal Union, Tanga combined and Simba SC, but only two matches materialized.
Beat Union
With Simba not being able to take part in the match, they faced the aforementioned two, with mixed results.
They beat Coastal Union 2-0 on Wednesday 29 August 2012 in Tanga, with goals from Eric Okoth and Evans Wandera.
A day later, they however got a negative result, after falling to Tanga 2-1, with Wandera again getting the lone goal.
Good learning curve
Head coach Rishadi Shedu says it was a good learning curve for his side.
- We were of course dissapointed not to play Simba. We were looking forward to it. However, in the two matches we did play, the players did well and showed what they are capable of.
- In the end, we were able to gain some experience and know how that will help us as the season goes by, he told Futaa.com.
Top of the log
