The Nairobi District League Zone C winners Intercity FC completed an eight goal romp by beating Lucky Boys 1 – 0 on Friday 31 August, a day after thrashing City Landers 7 – 0 in friendly matches played at the Hope Centre grounds.
Goal line clearance
Lucky Boys, who had fallen 0 – 5 to Intercity in another friendly match two weeks ago showed a much improved game plan and should have opened the scores on 89 minutes were it not for a goal line clearance.
Intercity, after surviving the scare, launched a sweeping counter attack with Ballack Abdi getting to the end of it and grabbed a stoppage time winner.
Intercity, who are awaiting the District League play offs with the Zone A and B winners will play another friendly match on Sunday against Vapor FC as from 1500hrs.
