With a heavy downpour in Nairobi preceding Gor K’Ogalo Mahia’s midweek match with Nairobi City Stars, they now say that they are more disturbed by state of the pitch than by the strength of their opponent.
-We are playing immediately after the Mathare United-Sofapaka match, Gor custodian and skipper Jerim Onyango told Futaa.com.
-This means that the pitch will have undergone some serious damage, which might make it uncomfortable for us to play on.
-We shall count that as an added challenge to overcome, which if we do, we should easily take home the day.
-It should be noted that we do not undermine City Stars, but we have been training hard, and from our recent record of performances, we believe we are the better team.
a win is desirable
K’Ogalo are currently ranked fifth on the league standings, with 41 points in their bag.
A win in their Wednesday 2 November meeting with the City Stars will bring them one step closer to matching their 2011 second place season finish.
