Champions League winner at the close of the
2011/12 season Coach Roberto Di Matteo has made the FIFA Ballon
d’Or Coach’s shortlist released on Monday 29 October 2012.
Jupp Heynckes of Bayern Munich, the finalist in the last UEFA Champions League is also in the list and so is former Barcelona Coach Pep Guardiola, the winner of the Award in 2011.
Not to miss out is the outspoken Jose Mourinho of Real Madrid and Roberto Mancini who led Manchester City to the English Premier League title at the close of the past season.
The winner of the Coach’s Award will be revealed at the FIFA Ballon d'Or gala to be held on 7 January 2013.
