Demba Ba buoyed by future prospects

Senegalese striker Dembe Ba is confident that a bright future lies ahead for him and his team after a good show for his English Premier League club Newcastle.

Speaking to cafonline, the striker admitted that he is happy with his career progress and is optimistic of  a great showing in the AFCON games too.

Ba has so far scored 15 goals for Newcastle.

-We’ve been preparing for this competition for two years. We’re a group of friends and most of us have known each other for a very long time. The good mood in our team will help us go far.

Well prepared

-Personally, I just want to carry on in this vein and win titles, he said.

He is expected to lead the Lions of Teranga in their first match against Zambia on Sunday 22 January 2012.
