Copa: Prolific Chebungei hands Rift Valley girls title

Rift Valley’s prolific scorer Ruth Chebungei  proved her extra ordinary skills when she scored the all important goal that handed Rift Valley the 2012 Copa Coca Cola title in a 1-0 win over Western girls on Saturday 28 July 2012 at KPA Mbaraki Sports ground.

Runners up trophy

Chebungei scored the lone goal in the 13^th minute of the first half, a goal that stood the test of time to the very end to hand Rift Valley the girl’s title that came with school fees vouchers worth Kshs 300,000.

Losers Western took home the runners up trophy together with school fees vouchers worth Kshs 150,000.

On their way to the Rift Valley girls  humbled Nairobi ’B’ 2-1 during the semi-finals played yesterday  at the same venue.

Girls Best Player Award

During the girls play off Coast Girls beat Nairobi ’B’ 2-1 to win the first runners up title that landed the side a second runners up trophy and school fees vouchers worth Kshs 100,000.

On the individual front, outstanding Ruth Chebungei who scored seven goals at the finals picked up the Girls Best Player Award.
