The defender feels he will play some part for the team since he believes the team will do well in the preliminary stages of the competition to get through to the second stage where he will be eligible to participate.
Hope, prayers and hard work
The former Nairobi City Stars captain admitted to futaa.com that it is a hard task but with hope, prayers and hard work in practice and on the pitch, nothing can prevent Gor Mahia from advancing in the tournament.
-I have a strong belief that I will help my team in the CAF Confederations Cup this year. I know we have a great, experienced team and talented players who, with good preparations and prayers will do well in the first stage to qualify for the second stage.
Fit and eligible
-I then hope that I will be fit and eligible to take part in the tournament. That probably should be in June when the second list is submitted, he said.
Gor Mahia will kick off their continental assignments against Mozambican heavyweights Ferroviario de Maputo away in Mozambique.
