Congo chairman Evans Mzungu has lauded his
boys for staging
a great show against AFC Leopards in their FK Cup match last weekend.
According to the chair, his boys showed bravery by standing against Ingwe for the better part of the match only to allow two last minute goals to spoil the party.
Nothing unique
He however believes that there is nothing extra ordinary that Leopards did in the match and that the goals could have been prevented.
-We stood against Leopards for the better part of that match despite their early goal so in terms of performance we were equal but the last minute goals ensured they sailed through.
-The match was a motivation for us since it gave us the will to keep fighting. The players realized that there is not bigger task and that they are capable of stopping any team, if they are a little keener.
Congo was dumped out of the FKF Cup after going down 1-3 in the hands of AFC Leopards on Sunday 2 September 2012.
