The eagerly awaited Tusker Premier League (TPL) encounter pitting AFC Leopards away to Western Stima on Saturday 15 September will not be played at the Bukhungu Stadium, Western Stima’s home ground.
Another venue
Western Kenya has been experiencing heavy rains lately and as such it has been deemed impossible to host the match at the stadium in Kakamega and according the Stima chairman Laban Jobita, they are sourcing for another venue.
Afraha a possibility
-The ground has been inspected and it has been ruled out already. So I can confirm that the game will not be in Kakamega. We are still in the process of searching for another venue for the game and probability is that Afraha might be chosen, he told futaa.com.
If Afraha is chosen to host the match, AFC Leopards might also be forced to alter their plans as they travelled to Mumias on Tuesday 11 September (a few kilometres to Kakamega) for camp ahead of the game.
