Representatives of football clubs in the coastal region have been invited to a meeting on Saturday 6 October at the Panorama Hotel, opposite the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) offices as from 0800hrs.
Agenda
According to the federation’s National Executive Committee (NEC) member for the region Hussein Terry, the main agenda for discussion will be the general progress of the leagues in the area and issues concerning handling of referees.
-We will have a meeting on Saturday with the teams playing at the sub branch level, County league and the Provincial League in the region so as to discuss on the various leagues and also handling of referees in matches here.
Two representatives
-I thus call on all the concerned clubs to send two representatives each for the exercise at the Panorama Hotel. Referees drafted to handle matches in the region will also be in the meeting, he told futaa.com.
The region has been in the news recently over violent handling of match officials, the latest being an assault on the referee during the Sparki versus Admiral FC game which resulted in bans on officials and players.
