Chemelil player held-up in Mombasa

Chemelil

The duo of Athman Mzee and Enock Sichangi will miss Chemelil Sugar’s Kenyan Premier League match against visiting Ulinzi Stars, on Saturday 1 September.

According to Coach Edward Manoah, Mzee resumed training yesterday after recuperating from a tropical infection while Sichangi is held-up in his home-town Kisauni, following the chaos that erupted in Mombasa after the murder of an Islamic preacher Aboud Rogo Mohammed, on Monday.

Ruled-out

-Mzee is still battling to gain match fitness and by that I mean he will not be available for Saturday's match.

-Sichangi left for Mombasa after our match with Sofapaka and we’re expecting him today. But due to the security alert in the area, it’s hard for him to travel. It’s a big blow to us as he's one of our key players and we will really miss. But I am glad he’s safe, said Manoah to futaa.com.

Apart from the two, the tenth placed side will also play without suspended midfielder Victor Omondi.
