Chemelil, Gor match stopped momentarily

The match between Chemelil Sugar FC and Gor Mahia was stopped for four minutes, with referee Damaris Kimani demanding that all fans perched on the flood-light masts come down.

This was as the match was into the 32nd minute.

It took some coercing for the fans [most of whom were supporting Gor Mahia] to climb down and allow the match to continue.

Among the notable persons forced to descend was Jaro Soldier, the Gor Mahia fan popularly known for his flamboyant military-type costume.

Earlier, before the match started, the referee had made a similar order, an exercise which ate away some minutes.

By half-time, both teams were on a goalless draw, in a match played at Nakuru's Afraha Stadium,
