Chemelil and Karuturi played to a barren draw in a Tusker Premier League game played at the Chemelil Sports Complex on Saturday 29 September 2012.
Early test
Chemelil started the game on a high note, getting a corner in the third minute that was parried back in to play by Karuturi Custodian Noah Ayuko.
Two minutes later, Karuturi’s mid season acquisition Zzinde Hussein wasted a glorious chance to put Karuturi ahead, shooting wide after being put through by Geoffrey Musiebe.
Chemelil’s Willis Ouma tested Noah Ayuko with long range shot in the 16th minute but the latter calmy collected it. Zzinde again failed to score for Karuturi after beating an offside trap only to place his low shot too wide in the 38th minute.
Changes
Both teams made substitutions in the second half in an attempt to salvage something from the game, Chemelil brought in Edmond Ochieng for Jared Likono, Daniel Ochieng for Hesbon Isemeki while Sam Olare was substituted for Yusuf Mohammed by Karuturi.
The changes bore no fruit as the game ended in a barren draw. After the result Chemelil is eighth with 33 points from 26 games while Karuturi is 12th with 30 points having played the same number of matches.
