Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama has now fallen under the radar of English Premier League [EPL] side Chelsea FC.
According to express.co.uk, Roberto Di Matteo, Chelsea’s Coach regards the Kenyan as the most appropriate replacement for Michael Essien, who has in the recent past been let down by recurring injury.
Chelsea now joins a list of EPL teams chasing the player,
among them Liverpool, Queens Park Rangers,
Newcastle, West Ham and Stoke City.
Wanyama joined Scottish Premier League side Celtic in July 2011, and played an instrumental role in the team's winning of the title at the end of the season.
The player, through his agent, has already confirmed that he is willing to look into any big league offers that may come his way.
