Change of guard at Division One side

When Ligi Ndogo takes on Green Berets on Saturday 26 May 2012 and Gatundu Stars the day after, it will be a second straight weekend for Mike Azeu Kamure in charge of the Division One Zone A side.

Majority of the previous games 

Azeu oversaw his team’s win 2-3 away win over Iron Strikers away at the School of Law in Karen in his first weekend solely in charge of the team now placed fourth in the 20-team log with 23 points after 14 rounds of play.

Mbikalo Musambya, a long serving Youth Coach at the Ngong Road based outfit, had been the Head Coach and the man in charge of majority of the previous games.

A whisker of qualifying 

-He (Mbikalo) is good with the youth and we have since redeployed him to Coach the U16 team, said Ligi Ndogo CEO Chris Amimo to futaa.com

At the close of the 2011 season, Kamure led Ligi Ndogo to a whisker of qualifying for the Kenyan Premier League.

The team ended up second in the 16-team league to miss out on the lone promotion spot taken by Muhoroni Youth.
