Champions League: Chelsea, Barcelona enter the fray

After a total of eight round 1 games jump started the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League games on Tuesday 18 September 2012 in groups ‘A’ to ‘D’, action now shifts to Groups ‘E’ to ‘H’ where another eight games will be played on Wednesday 19 September.

Donbass Arena

Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama’s Celtic will host Benfica of Portugal in a Group ‘G’ game that will be played at the Celtic Park.

In the same Group, Spanish giants Barcelona will host Russia’s Spartak Moskva at the Camp Nou.

Reigning UEFA Champions League kings Chelsea will face off with Italian Serie ‘A’ side Juventus at their Stamford Bridge in a Group ‘E’ tie as Ukraine side Shaktar Donetsk plays host to Denmark’s Nordsjælland at the Donbass Arena.

AXA Arena

In Group ‘F’ French Ligue 1 side Lille, from the Grande Metropole,will host  Belarusian side BATE Borisov as German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich will host Spanish side Valencia at the Allianz Arena.

At the AXA Arena, Portuguese side Sporting Braga will take on Romania’s CFR Cluj in a Group ‘H’ tie. English Premier League side Manchester United will take on Greek side Galatasary at the Old Trafford in another Group ‘H’
