After coming through the third qualifying round of the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League against Finland’s HJK Helsinki and past the playoff round against Sweden’s Helsingborg, Scottish side Celtic now await a draw on Thursday 30 August to know whom they will face next.
Pot 4
32 teams, ten of which made it through the playoff rounds, have pooled in four Pots depending on seeding coefficients from where they will be pooled in eight groups of four teams each in the draw to be held in Monaco, France.
Celtic falls in Pot 4 together with German back to back league Champions Borussia Dortmund, Belarusian side BATE Borisov, Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb, Romania’s CFR Cluj, Malaga of Spain, French Ligue 1 side Montpellier and Denmark’s FC Nordsjaelland.
Round of 16
At the conclusion of the draw, teams in this stage will kicks off their chase of making the round of 16 with home and away games on the provide match days of 18–19 September, 2–3 October, 23–24 October, 6–7 November, 20–21 November and 4–5 December 2012.
The group winners and runners-up will advance to the round of 16, while the third-placed teams will enter the round of 32 of the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League.
