Victor Wanyama’s Celtic was handed the first season loss as the team went down 2-1 at the hands of St. Johnstone in a game played on Saturday 15 September 2012 at the McDiarmid Park, Perth.

The reigning Scottish Champions took a 0-1 lead after four minutes through Kris Commons. 14 minutes on, the hosts drew level with a goal from Gregory Tade, a score line that stood to the break.

11 minutes to time, the game looked destined for a draw but the very next minute, St. Johnstone went up 2-1 with a goal from striker Rowan Vine.

 The lead stood to the end, a result that sees St. Johnstone improve to five points from six games to sit tenth in the 12- team log.

Celtic, with eight points from five games drops down to fifth.

Kenyan midfielder Victor Mugabe Wanyama who got a clean bill of health in good time featured in the entire game in what became his fourth game this season.
