Two days after head Coach Andrew Munikah announced his resignation, Division One side Soin Flourspar are set to take on Zoo Kericho, in a match to be played in Kericho.
Going into the match, the team is under the guidance of Captain Kenneth Rono, who expresses optimism that they will perform well in the match.
-After the exit of the Coach, it was up to us, the senior players to reorganize the team and push on in the league, Rono told Futaa.com.
-We are confident that we will take home the match against Zoo and do our fans proud.
Soin are currently ranked seventh in the league’s standings, having amassed 47 points from 27 matches. Asked about his team’s target, Rono says they believe that the top three is within their reach.
-We have 12 matches left to play and we can effectively use them to make a dramatic rise up the standings.
Rono, a midfielder, is the team’s second top scorer, having netted nine goals since the season started.
