Four teams made it into the 2012 CAF Confederations Cup semifinals after managing to finish within the first two slots in their groups.
Sudan will have two representatives in the next stage of the completion after both Al Merreikh and Al Hilal Omdurman finished first and second in group A.
This means that the teams will square it out with fellow table toppers from Group B. The group [B] will be represented by Malian side Djoliba and Congolese club Ac Léopards De Dolisié.
Djoliba qualified after seeing off their Saturday 15 September opponents Wydad Casablanca by a 2-1 margin.
Al Merreikh beat fellow countrymen Al Ahly Shendi 1-0 while Stade Malien De Bamako lost by a similar margin to Ac Léopards De Dolisié.
