2012 Africa Cup of Nations hosts Gabon will on Thursday November 10 2011 welcome The Samba Boys and 2014 World Cup hosts Brazil at the newly constructed Libreville's Stade de l'Amitie.

Brazil will therefore be the first nation to play in the new constructed stadium  in the heart of Gabon capital Libreville in time for the AFCON even to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Perfect inauguration ceremony

This will be a perfect way for the National team to inaugurate their news stadium which has given them an opportunity to play at home a thing that was rare prior to its construction.

The AFCON event is scheduled to kick off in February 2012 with Gabon drawn against Niger, former champions Morocco and Tunisia’s Eagles of Carthage.

Speaking to bbc.co.uk, the Gabon coach Gernot Rohr was elated with the latest developments in the team.

-The possibility to play at home is the chance to show to everyone that we have a good team and a good spirit, said the German.
