Azam and Taifa Stars John Bocco has quit the National Team and will now concentrate on his club duties at Azam FC.

Succumbed to pressure

Speaking to shaffihdauda.com, Bocco confessed that he was leaving with a heavy heart due to the current situation.

-I have always served my country with dedication and I have left with a heavy heart due to the current situation.

-The fans have however decided that I should leave and I therefore think stepping aside is the best option to avoid their wrath. I still love my country and that I will always do.

The player has been shouted down on several occasions on the pitch and the striker seems not ready to take that any longer.

Bocco is current Vodacome League and Azam top scorer with 16 goals.
