Blaty cancels out Khamati in top scorers meet

On Sunday 21 October 2012, a Division One Zone A tie in Mombasa brought together the two top goal scorers in the league.

In the game played at the Mbaraki Sports club from 1500hrs, hosts Admiral took on Nairobi’s Administration Police (AP).

The game ended 2-2 but the key highlight  in the game was the face to face meet of Zone A’s top scorer Roosevelt Blaty of Admiral and the second best scorer Mike Khamati of AP.

And as expected, the two proved their goal scoring prowess.

Struck again

Blaty struck first with a penalty in the 35^th minute, his goal 27 of the season. His goal was however cancelled out by Wycliffe Wafula of AP in the 47^th minute.

Khamati then sent AP 1-2 up with a 68^th minute goal, his goal 26 of the season.

Khamati’s goal was however not enough to win his side three points from the Coast as Blaty struck again to cancel out Khamati’s would be winner.

Goal 28

Late in the game, Admiral got a second penalty of the game and Blaty stepped up to net his goal 28 of the season to level out the game at 2-2.

Admiral is fourth in the Zone A log with 60 points with AP a position and point behind.
