There were some huge wins in round three of European 2014 World Cup (WC) Qualifiers played on Friday 12 October 2012.
Tomer Hemed scored a hat trick
Israel embarrassed host Luxembourg 0-6 in a game played at Josy Barthel in a Group ‘F’ tie. Tomer Hemed scored a hat trick for Israel to lead his side to the big win.
Germany also registered a 1-6 away win away at the Aviva Stadium over Ireland in a Group ‘C’ clash with Toni Kroos and Marco Reus both netting a brace.
Skipper on the day
At Wembley, England knocked down visiting San Marino 5-0 in a Group ‘H’ tie thanks to a brace from Danny Wlbeck and skipper on the day Wayne Rooney and one more from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Pedro Rodriguez’s hat trick followed on Jordi Alba’s first goal as Spain pounded host Belarus 0-4 in a Group ‘I’ tie played at Dinamo Stadium in Minsk.
Big winners
The Netherlands too emerged as big winners in Group ‘D’ after seeing off Andorra 3-0 in a game played at the de Kuip.
