Big setback for Sofapaka ahead of Muho tie

Bob Mugalia

The 2009 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Sofapaka have suffered a massive blow as they continue with the preparations for their KPL tie against Muhoroni Youth set for Friday 6 July at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Bob out

The second placed side will have to do without the services of Kenyan international Bob Mugalia after the player sustained a second injury this season to his left eye in training, the same eye that he hurt in a collision during the match against SoNy Sugar in the Top 8 tournament.

Giving the confirmation to futaa.com, team manager Jacques Ngarambe said Mugalia is not in training with his team mates and will be out for at least five days, effectively ruling him out of the tie.

Five days out

-There is only one new concern for the match on Friday against Muhoroni; Bob Mugalia has been ruled out as he got a knock on the left eye and suffered a recurrence of the previous injury. Currently he is not taking part in training and we estimate that he will be out for five days, he said.

Sofapaka will head into the match straight from the defeat to AFC Leopards on Wednesday 27 June.
