Coach at Liverpool for six
seasons till 2010, job seeking Rafael Benitez [Maudes] finds it strange his
former club never considered him to be the Manager once again when they did not
have a Coach.
More experience now
The UEFA Champions league winner in 2005 with Liverpool has been out of a job since leaving Italian Serie A side Inter in December 2010 after only six month in charge.
-It was strange not to be
approached, he told the Irish Independent.
-We know the club,
the players, the Academy and we have even more experience now...the fans were
positive about the idea, he added
Brendan Rogers
After Benitez left Liverpool in June 2010, Roy Hodgson took over for six months till January 2011. Kenny Dalglish took over and lasted a year and a half till mid May 2012.
After a two week period, Brendan Rogers was appointed to head the club.
