Baraza: Lady luck gone missing

.
SoNy sugar coach Francis Baraza again rued his side's luck as they went down 1-0 to Tusker FC in the KPL on Sunday 7 August 2011.

Tusker won the game through a Hillary Echesa free kick and defended stoutly throughout to deny the spirited SoNy forward line a goal. The awarding of  the free kick Echesa scored from was highly debated by an angry Baraza.

-The free kick the referee awarded was dubious and scandalous to say the least.

-There was no grounds for awarding the free kick, but the referee is the final decision maker. When a team that is as good as Tusker get a set piece, you know they will hurt you.

-Yet again we have been denied by a poor refereeing decision, which we do not seem to be getting the best of lately, he told Futaa.com.

Keep going

Baraza was at the helm when SoNy won their maiden KPL crown in 2006 and according to him this season they will need to borrow something from the 2006 book of tricks to improve their plight.

-In 2006, we just kept going, even if we were not in the best shape, we would fight to the end and dig deep for results.

-This year we will have to be humble and accept that things are hard. Once we do so, we will improve in the way we play and hopefully finish higher up the league table, he admitted.

SoNy are 13th in the KPL with 19 points, just four points above third bottom City stars and five adrift of bottom side Congo United.
