Banned Div One team necessitates a change in venue

.

The Division One [Eastern Zone] match between Admiral FC and Sparki Youth had in the initially been set for play at the Tudor Secondary School grounds.

However, a private function booked for the same grounds necessitated a switch in venue to the Refinery grounds.

Another change

In a new turn of events, Admiral, the home team, have returned the match back to Tudor after it emerged that Sparki had been banned from the Refinery grounds.

-We had paid for the venue and even received a receipt. However, when Refinery’s management realized that we were paying Sparki, they sent us a mail indicating that Sparki had been banned from the grounds after their fans attacked an official in their match against Magongo Rangers, Admiral’s Technical Director Aref Baghazally told Futaa.com.

-We have since made arrangements for us to hold the match at Tudor.

Apology

Aref also made a point to publicly apologize to the club’s fans, saying that arrangements would have been better had it been entirely up to them.

-We would like to apologize to our fans for the back and forth switch in venues, but it is only because we had not been informed of the ban earlier.

-We, however, still hope they will show up in large numbers and help us win the derby.

The match will kick off at 1500hrs.
