Bandari: We are the Coastal kings

Rishadi Shedu

On Saturday 21 July, Bandari FC will be playing Magongo Rangers in their second derby in as many weeks.

Going into the match, head Coach Rishadi Shedu says that he is aware that Congo will be coming to them with the sole intention of embarrassing them, but notes that his side is ready for the challenge.

-We are the best-performing of Coast-based teams and we are sure that each and every of the Coastal teams in the league, would pride in emerging supreme from a match against us, Shedu told Futaa.com.

-A week ago we took on Admiral and even though the match ended on a barren draw, we made a good account of the training sessions we have been having.

Target

Shedu also said that promotion into the Kenyan Premier League is within their sight and that they are doing everything possible to ensure that they do not lose focus.

-If you look at how well we prepare for our matches, then you will know that we are serious about this promotion business.

-During the mid-season transfer window, we recruited players we knew could perform well in Premier League, an indication that we are sure of the elevation.

Bandari are currently ranked third in the Eastern Zone of the Division One.
