Bahanuz brace rescues Yanga

Yanga

Tanzanian giants Yanga FC bounced back from their faulty start to the 2012 Kagame Cup with a 2-0 win over Rwandese counterparts APR.

The match played at the National Stadium Dar es Salaam witnessed thrilling action with Yanga making early inroads into their opponents’ box.

Early goal

The Tanzanians opened the score charts early in the match [23rd minute] courtesy of a well-crafted goal from the left wing.

Said Bahanuz scrambled in a well floated ball to ensure Yanga took the driving seat in the Friday afternoon match.

The second half was however better one for APR as they seemed determined to make a difference pushing more into their opponents defence.

Poor defending

APR however fell to a lousy defending that allowed Yanga to notch their second with Said Bahanuz registering a brace.

APR now head into the quarter finals of the annual tournament where they will meet the other group stage winners starting next week.
