Azam's Owino on the path to recovery

Azam’s Joseph Owino, who was acquired from fellow Tanzania side Simba SC,  has acquired 70% fitness, as confirmed by the club’s team doctor, German Paul Gomez.

-He is going through intensive physiotherapy sessions in order to get him in playing condition, Gomez told azamfc.co.tz.

Gomez, indicating that it would take another two months before the player is fully healed, said that he [Owino] will in the meantime train with club’s academy.

-We do not want to rush him, because if we did he could actually be in the senior team right now.

The former Uganda Cranes defender opted for a cross-border move, because Azam promised to take care of his treatment, after a long injury-laden spell with Simba.
