Azam FC have released forward Mrisho Ngassa to Sudanese side El Mereikh.
As per confirmation by Azam’s official website, the player has been sold for US$75,000 (approx. KSh6.3 million).
-El-Mereikh have already had talks with the player and agreed on personal terms, which require him to travel to Khartoum immediately after the end of the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup. In the process, he shall be assessing the club environment and undertaking fitness tests, says the source.
Earlier in the year, Azam had announced that they would not release the player for anything less than US$50,000 (approx. KSh4.2 million).
Tanzanian Premier League compatriots came around with an offer of US$25,000 (approx. KSh2.1million) but it was turned down.
