Ayew brothers halt international careers

Andre Ayew
Black Stars brothers Andre and Jordan Ayew have confirmed that they have decided to temporarily quit the Black Stars for different reasons.

In letters addressed to the Ghanaian Football Association [GFA], the brothers revealed their decision with Andre confessing that his sour relationship with the team management had affected him psychologically and emotionally making it hard for him to turn out for the national team.

Recent happenings

-My decision to withdraw my services from the national team results from a number of issues or matters that have occurred quite recently, especially with regard to my relationship with the management team of the senior national team, said Andre.

In his part, Jordan said that he wanted to concentrate on building his career by sharpening his talent so that he could be a better player once he makes his return to the national stage.

Club football

-In this period of my temporary absence I intend not only to work hard in my club as a young player so I can obtain the quality, experience and stature necessary for a call up to play in the national team.

Andre and Jordan turn out for French Ligue One side Olympique de Marseille.
