The Burgundy outfit is currently second bottom of the French top flight, having not registered a positive result in the league in three matches, which have all ended in defeat.
Their latest clash at Caen over the past weekend was postponed due to a cold snap, meaning they ended up second bottom of the table by the close of play, a worrying statistic.
Head coach Laurent Fournier, looking to stem the downward spiral has thus decided on team building techniques in training to enhance the team's togetherness and belief.
Communication is key
During training on Monday 6 February, Fournier had the team fiddling around and playing games, with the aim of getting them to communicate and play better together.
-It is fun for the players to play about in training, but it is not just the entertainment side we wanted in this type of exercise.
-The guys have to talk much, which is good as it fosters communication on the ground. It is what we want to develop because it improves the general play. I am happy now because the mood is good, he told the club's official website.
Auxerre will get back to the field and aim to ressurect their season when they host Lorient on Saturday 11 February 2012.
