Atudo to face off with former side

As Azam take on Kenyan side Tusker FC in the finals of the Mapinduzi Cup, set for play on Saturday 12 January, defender Jockins Atudo will have the pleasure of tackling his immediate former side, in a match that is set to test his current allegiance.

Atudo joined the Tanzanian Premier League side in December 2012, together with Humphrey Mieno, who crossed over from Sofapaka FC.

He has so far netted two goals for Azam in the Mapinduzi tournament; the first against Miembeni and the second, a post-match penalty against Simba.

Enroute to the finals, Simba took down Zanzibar’s Miembeni in a semi-final match played on Thursday 10 January evening.

The finals will be played at the Amaan Stadium, starting 2000hrs and will be coinciding with the country’s 49th celebration of the 1964 revolution.
