Atudo, Mieno active as Azam make Charity Cup finals

Tanzania giants Azam FC have made to the finals of the Charity Cup currently underway in the Democratic Republic of Congo after seeing off their opponents Sharks FK 5-4 on penalties on Friday 21 December 2012.

The teams were forced into the post match penalties after settling for a 2-2 draw in regular time setting stage for a Sunday 24 December final match.


Azam had taken the lead early in the match and had the brighter chance through goals from Kipre Tchetche and Gaudence Mwaikimba but their opponents staged a strong comeback netting a brace.

Fresh Kenyan acquisitions in Jockins Atudo and Humphrey Mieno have been actively involved making their debut in the quarters against Real De Kinshasa where Azam won 2-1.
