La Liga title hopers Atletico Madrid slashed leaders Barcelona’s massive nine point lead to just six after seeing off Celta Vigo 1-0 in a round 17 tie played on Saturday 22 December 2012 at the Vicente Calderon.

A lone goal from Adrian in the 77^th minute is all that Atletico needed to claim all three points that moved the team’s tally from 17 rounds to 40 points.
