Sparki Youth

As per the rules, Sparki Youth is relegated

Even ahead of a season ender on Saturday 17 November 2012 against MOYAS at the Langata Prisons, Mombasa based side Sparki Youth is confirmed as relegated from the second tier Division One Zone A.

According to the rules that govern the league, the last four teams from each of the two zones that make up Division One, are to be sent packing to the lower leagues.

Rules apply

According to Doris Petra, the Chair of the Leagues and Competitions Committee, the league has had 19 teams since the disbandment and ejection of Mathare Youth.

-Mathare Youth never participated in the second leg of the league. The rules still apply that the bottom four are relegated, said Doris to futaa.com

Not be enough

By interpretation, Sparki Youth who were at an otherwise safe spot 16, will join 17th placed KSL Thola Glass, 18th placed Gatundu Stars and 19th placed Iron Strikers out of the league.

Ahead of their Saturday game, Sparki Youth has 32 points from 36 games.

A win over MOYAS will not be enough as the team is four points off 15th placed Magongo Rangers who secured survival with a 3-1 win over Coast United on Wednesday 14 November.
