Even with AFC Leopards going four matches without a win, something that has got the team’s administration and fans jittery, former club Secretary General Duncan Angode says they have a positive chance of taking home the title.
-I still believe AFC will win the league, Angode told Futaa.com.
-However, this will be only achieved if the players and executive, together with the fans works as a team, noting that this is the time we need to unite more than ever and that only strong people survive in the situation we are in right now.
-If we win all our remaining matches then we have a stonger chance at the title. This is especially in the knowledge that our opponents have tougher matches.
Decisions
In regards to recent reports that the team is bound to make changes on the technical bench, Angode says that the team should instead focus on the playing unit.
-As far as the technical bench is concerned, no rash decision should be made right now. Instead the players and everybody involved should know that we have ten halves of 45 minutes each, which they should play the way they did in the second half of the match against Gor Mahia.
Standings
AFC are currently ranked third in the league, behind Tusker FC and Gor Mahia.
