Evans Amuoka scored in either half as Ulinzi Stars FC drubbed Rangers FC 3-1 in a Kenyan Premier League match, played on Sunday 8 July, at Afraha Stadium.
The Soldiers took an early lead after Amuoka capitalized on Victor Omondi's goalkeeping mistake to put the hosts on the lead.
Stalemate half
Just before the half-hour mark, newly signed striker Eric Ochieng' headed home from a corner-kick to level the score as the first half ended 1-1.
Like a wounded lion, the Sammy Simiyu trained side came back more rejuvenated, making numerous raids and their efforts paid dividends thanks to Stephen Waruru's strike in the 56th minute.
A double
In the 78th minute, Amuoka added misery to Rangers with a spectacular corner-kick header to take his tally to eight and secure the much needed three points for the hosts.
Following the win, Ulinzi have replaced Thika United FC at the fourth position as Rangers remain rooted at the bottom of the table.
